Like everyone  people with a disability also want to go out. Something to eat in a restaurant. Visit a museum. Stay in a hotel. Unfortunately not all hotels are equipped to host disabled guests. Strange really. Because accessibility is an expression of hospitality. And hotels pride themselves on their hospitality. Apart from this some two and a half million Dutch people have a disability. Excluding disabled foreign tourists. Accessibility therefore is big business.

As from next year (2017) public buildings are obliged by statute to work on accessibility. Quite often it is not at all complicated to make a hotel accessible. Fortunately there is GoldenCrossHotels.com*. A clear website describing the accessibily of hotels in detail. Convenient for hotelvisitors. Which hotel does not want to be listed on this site?
